The location is perfect for a short stay. It's right in the centre of Saltash. It's so convenient to get to most areas in Cornwall. Plymouth was 10 minutes, Truro an hour and 10, Newquay 1hour, Looe just 30 mins. It's so close to the Tamar bridge you can see it ! The room is the best one. The pub has recently been renovated, it's new tenants are doing an amazing job! Downstairs, and outside has all been decorated. Some new furniture too. I believe most hotel rooms have been painted, however some of the furniture needs updating. Our room has had a brand new shower installed and re-tiled, however the sink, flooring and fixtures require updating. The double bed is excellent, the mattress is a great quality M&S Sprung. The single bed was comfortable, with a standard mattress. Wardrobe and draws are functional, there are only two bedside cabinets, it requires 3. However, we made do with a chair. The dressing table, again is functional. It is dated has a chair but held up well with only 3 legs? Lol (it was there the last 2 years, but is functional) There is a flatscreen t.v. with free view limited channels. (You're not here to watch t.v. you're here to sightsee generally). There is a kettle with tea & coffee facilities. Towels were all provided, everything was very clean too. Suggested upgrades at minimal cost.... replacement wardrobes, draws dressing table and side tables, easily found on Facebook market place. A small fridge is a definite requirement as well as the t.v being mounted on the wall. (It would free up room space). The bathroom only needs the sink and flooring updating with a bulb replacement in the light above the sink, as well as additional towel rail, small bathroom cupboard to store your toiletries etc. Again, needs simple replacement wall-art, cheap enough 2nd hand. On the whole a great room but dated. The STAFF CANNOT BE FAULTED, THEY ARE 100 % WONDERFUL GENUINE PEOPLE, NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE. The food is 10-10!!!

Great little budget stay in a lovely local pub with rooms. Obviously you could hear the pub downstairs until closing time and they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, but we didn't mind that. Anyway, it was great to be able to pop down for a nightcap after a long drive! A very warm welcome from the lovely women running the bar, who showed us to our modest but clean and well appointed rooms. Fresh, clean linen, toiletries and tea and coffee making stuff. Quick check out. It was all we needed and at a fantastic price. Very pleased with our choice; well done Brunel Inn.

Great value for money, they keep everywhere super clean, food was fantastic and clearly home cooked which is so rare these days. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Brilliant for families and dogs too!! Rooms were simple but pleasant, shower and bath were clean with the water able to get hot and stay consistent temperatures! Beds were relatively comfortable too. All in all a pleasant stay.

Liked: STAFF: Continuously helpful, recomended a restaurant on our arrival (called'Foreign Muck') and was one of the best on our whole holiday. LOCATION: Amazing, on approach, from East, you see Brunel's last masterpiece a stunning bridge, and you stay in a pub just walking distance from it called the Brunel Inn, perfect :).
